USP 797 Training
Compounding personnel training is clearly mandated by the General Chapter USP 797 regulation. In fact, pharmacies performing sterile drug compounding procedures were required to commence a regular, specified personnel training program schedule by July 2005.
As part of its total solution, Microtest supplies all required compliance training for pharmacy compounding personnel. Our classes, held at your site for maximum convenience, cover all technical aspects of contamination control, aseptic technique, equipment design/function, and environmental monitoring. In cases where the 2005 deadline has not been achieved, Microtest can bring a lagging pharmacy service into rapid compliance.
Microtest offers an exclusive benefit. In a number of states, our training is eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) from the Board of Pharmacy.
Finally, the annual certification of pharmacy personnel’s aseptic techniques part of the mandated 3 hours of training per person per year requires media-fill testing kits. Some suppliers offer marginal quality test kits that may fail a regulator’s audit inspection. In contrast, Microtest supplies high-quality test kits formulated by a FDA registered media company. And our media–fill test kit programs are available for all pharmacy risk level categories. |
